Rebecca “Becky” Ennis, Executive Director
Becky was born in Santa Rosa,graduatingfrom Santa Rosa High School. Her family has strong MidWest roots and she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying Psychology and Spanish. Becky continued east from there, moving to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to study Special Education and begin a career in mental health with individuals with special needs. After eight years on the East Coast, she returned to Santa Rosa and landed back at the YMCA, where she started as a camp counselor the summer after high school.
Becky enjoyed a long tenure at the YMCA of almost 12 years, working in every department from childcare to aquatics and membership to health and wellness. She graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2015 with a Master of Nonprofit Administration and the goal to grow her career in the nonprofit sector.
Becky says she is thrilled to team up with the Cloverdale Senior Multipurpose Center, while balancing life with her daughter, family, and friends. Becky is a board member for Girls on the Run Sonoma County and an active volunteer with Food for Thought in Forestville, CA. When not working, you can find her outside on the trail or at the gym.
Maria Doglio, Administrative Assistant
With a 40 year background in administrative work in a variety of fields, Maria Doglio is our Administrative Assistant. A resident of Cloverdale for the past seven years, she grew up in Connecticut, raising her four children in Vermont and Massachusetts, all of whom eventually migrated to California and she followed them west. Maria spent 2½ years in Sedona, AZ on an artistic and spiritual quest, studying holistic health and becoming a Reiki Master. She enjoys life here in California with all its diversity.
Melanie Hall, Program Coordinator
Melanie Hall grew up in Washington State and has lived in Sonoma County for 37 years and is our Program Coordinator. Majoring in Social and Behavioral Sciences with an emphasis in Child and Human Development, she pursued her major at SRJC, Sonoma State and also Stanford. She has worked in the restaurant business and also for many years at a local pre-school. Married to her husband Jim for over 38 years, they have two grown children. Melanie enjoys her spending time with her Jack Russells, hiking, gardening, cooking and reading.
Karen Sims, Transportation Program
Karen Sims was raised in Pennsylvania and moved to California in 1982, raising her children in Petaluma and now living in Santa Rosa. Working in Early Childhood Education (Specializing in Special Education) for over 30 yrs, she started as an Aide and worked her way up to Administrator/Director. She created a intergenerational program providing opportunities to partner seniors and children. In addition, Karen has been a CNA/caregiver for seniors for many years. She is currently revising our Transportation Program for the Center.
