Welcome to the Cloverdale Senior Multipurpose Center!

The mission of CSMC is to provide Cloverdale residents with activities, support, resources, and services that encourage participation in community life, promote well-being and independence, and enhance dignity.

We invite all Cloverdale City and surrounding area residents to join our Senior Center.  For those of you who are not familiar with the Cloverdale Senior Multipurpose Center, we would like to extend an invitation to visit, meet the staff and take a tour of our facility.

The Cloverdale Senior Multipurpose Center membership is open to all community members who are aged 21 or over.

Hours of operation:

Monday – Friday

8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Special Events and Activities outside our regular hours are held by previous arrangement.

Benefits of Membership

  • Our members receive our newsletter publication The Clover, either by mail or email, every other month. Updates are emailed out periodically, which details upcoming activities and events.
  • Members can enjoy our exercise courses, including some form of Yoga Monday-Thursday, Strength Training on Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Other classes include line dancing, guitar lessons, and Qi-gong Practice.  Members enjoy a discounted class fee of $5 per visit.
  • Members who are 60+ receive a discounted lunch fee of $4 provided by the Council on Aging at the Center from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The Council on Aging offers lunch Monday – Thursday and brunch options on Fridays.
  • We have several social activity groups, including “Nimble Fingers,” which consists of members who knit and crochet while they chat. Our Soul Collage and TED Talks discussion groups provide intellectual stimulation and socialization.  We also have educational opportunities such as community resource sessions, American Sign Language, Spanish, and an SRJC Art class.
  • We often have special events and activities like Literary Luncheons, Holiday Tea, craft fairs, potlucks, holiday celebrations, and monthly birthday parties; members have priority when signing up to attend events.

While we have a few staff members, we are primarily run by volunteers.  Even our Board of Directors is volunteer.  We value our many volunteers who offer their time, energy, and passion for helping to keep the Center and our Creative Notions store running smoothly.  If you have spare time, come and join our happy crew.

All the information requested on the New Membership & Renewal Application is for our records only.  By completely filling out the membership application, you are also helping us to identify who we are helping and whom we may need to reach in a different way.  The information you provide is kept entirely confidential. We will never share your information with any outside entities.  Your cooperation in providing this information is both appreciated and necessary.

New & Renewal Application

Please return your application and payment to the Cloverdale Senior Multipurpose Center.Membership Dues: $25.00 for Individuals, and $45.00 for Households of 2

  • While we respect some people prefer a physical paper copy, emailing saves us time and money, and is more eco-friendly.

  • In consideration of my being permitted to volunteer and my time to participate in Cloverdale Senior Multipurpose Center programs, I make the following agreement: 1. I agree to abide by and follow the rules set forth in the attached “Rules for Volunteers” (Rules). I will do nothing at variance with the terms of the Rules or cause any other person to do anything at variance with the Rules. 2. I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury, or property damage which I may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me against the Cloverdale Senior Multipurpose Center, its agents, employees, assigns, or members as a result of volunteering to participate in Cloverdale Senior Multipurpose Center programs. 3. This release is intended to discharge in advance the Cloverdale Senior Multipurpose Center, its agents, employees, assigns, and members, even though liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above. 4. I hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless all of the person and entities mentioned above, for any and all damages, costs, claims, liability, judgments or expenses, including attorneys fees incurred in the prosecution of this indemnification, which may arise directly or indirectly as a result of my participation as a volunteer. 5. I further agree that this release and waiver shall also apply to all unknown and unanticipated claims and hereby waive the benefits of California Civil Code Section 1524 which provides that:  A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release which if known by him must have materially affected his settlement with the debtor. 6. It is further understood and agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is binding on my heirs and assigns. I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT, AND THE RULES TO WHICH IT IS ATTACHED. BY TYPING "I AGREE" BELOW I VOLUNTARILY ACCEPTANCE OF THE ABOVE PROVISIONS.
